1. What CiaoLorenzo Is

CiaoLorenzo is an AI-powered Italian language coaching service delivered through Telegram. When you subscribe, you get access to daily conversation prompts, grammar corrections, vocabulary building, and mini-lessons — all through natural chat with Lorenzo.

CiaoLorenzo is designed to help you practice Italian in a low-pressure, conversational way. Think of it as having a patient tutor in your pocket who's always happy to chat.

2. Who Operates CiaoLorenzo

CiaoLorenzo is operated by Julian Ramirez, a sole proprietor based in California, United States.

3. Payments and Billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

When you make a purchase, you are buying from Paddle.com Market Limited (for international customers), who acts as the authorized reseller of CiaoLorenzo. Paddle processes your payment, issues invoices and receipts, and determines, collects, and remits applicable taxes.

Your purchase is also governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

CiaoLorenzo offers two subscription plans:

• Monthly — $10 per month
• Annual — $100 per year (save $20 compared to monthly)

Both plans include a free trial so you can try CiaoLorenzo before you're charged. See Section 4 for details.

4. Free Trials

We want you to experience CiaoLorenzo before committing. That's why both plans start with a free trial:

• Monthly plan: 3-day free trial
• Annual plan: 7-day free trial

You won't be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged at all. If you don't cancel, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged at the end of the trial.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel, you'll keep access to CiaoLorenzo until the end of your current billing period — we don't cut you off immediately.

We offer a 7-day refund window after your first payment, no questions asked. If CiaoLorenzo isn't for you, just request a refund within 7 days and you'll get your money back.

Since Paddle is the Merchant of Record, all refunds are processed through Paddle, not directly by us. For full details on how to request a refund, see our Refund Policy.

We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Your Account and Data

You access CiaoLorenzo through Telegram — there's no separate account to create. CiaoLorenzo stores your Telegram user ID and your conversation history (the messages you exchange with Lorenzo).

We use your data to provide coaching and to improve the service through anonymized, aggregated analysis. We never sell your personal data.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing legal@ciaolorenzo.com.

7. Acceptable Use

We ask that you use CiaoLorenzo for its intended purpose: personal Italian language learning. Specifically, please don't:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract CiaoLorenzo's underlying models or content
• Use CiaoLorenzo for any unlawful purpose
• Abuse the service or attempt to disrupt it for other users
• Share your account access with others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these guidelines.

8. Intellectual Property

CiaoLorenzo's content, prompts, lessons, and coaching material are owned by the operator. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without permission.

Your conversation content — the messages you write to Lorenzo — belongs to you. We may use anonymized and aggregated data from conversations to improve the service, but we won't share your individual messages with third parties for marketing purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

CiaoLorenzo is provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive to deliver a great learning experience, we can't guarantee specific learning outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the fees attributable to CiaoLorenzo that were paid for your subscription in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know through the service or via email.

Your continued use of CiaoLorenzo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

11. Governing Law and Venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Unless applicable law says otherwise, any dispute arising from these terms or your use of CiaoLorenzo will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and both parties consent to that venue and jurisdiction.

12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, third-party platform outages, natural disasters, labor disputes, war, terrorism, civil unrest, or government actions.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

14. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

15. Entire Agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding CiaoLorenzo.
