1. Our Refund Policy
We offer a 7-day refund window after your first payment, no questions asked. This applies to the first charge after your free trial period ends.
We believe you should have plenty of time to make sure CiaoLorenzo is right for you. Between the free trial and the refund window, you can experience CiaoLorenzo risk-free before committing long-term.
2. Free Trials
Both of CiaoLorenzo's subscription plans include a free trial so you can experience the service before you're charged:
- Monthly plan: 3-day free trial
- Annual plan: 7-day free trial
You won't be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged at all. After the trial, your subscription auto-renews at your plan's price.
The free trial gives you a risk-free way to experience CiaoLorenzo before committing. Combined with the 7-day refund window after your first payment, you have every opportunity to make sure CiaoLorenzo is the right fit.
3. How to Request a Refund
Since Paddle is the merchant of record for all CiaoLorenzo purchases, refunds are processed through Paddle — not directly by us. Here's how to request a refund:
- Through Paddle directly — use the link in the receipt email you received when you purchased your subscription.
- Through us — email legal@ciaolorenzo.com and we will help you connect with Paddle to process your refund.
Refund requests must be made within 7 days of your first payment.
Your purchase is also governed by Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.
4. How Refunds Are Processed
Once approved by Paddle, refunds typically take 3–5 business days for credit and debit cards. The exact timeframe depends on your payment method and financial institution.
Refunds appear as a credit from Paddle on your statement — not from CiaoLorenzo directly.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Here's what happens when you do:
- Your access continues until the end of your current billing period — we don't cut you off immediately.
- No pro-rata refunds are given for unused time in a billing period.
- After cancellation, your subscription will not renew.
- Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund — if you're within the 7-day refund window, use the refund process described above instead.
To cancel, use the subscription management link in the receipt email you received from Paddle.
6. EU Right of Withdrawal
EU consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive. For digital services like CiaoLorenzo, this right may be waived when the consumer consents to immediate access and acknowledges the loss of the withdrawal right. Paddle handles this consent during the checkout process.
Regardless, our 7-day refund policy applies independently of your statutory rights. If EU consumer protection law grants you broader refund rights, those rights apply.
7. Subscription Renewals
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. Paddle sends renewal reminders before charging your payment method.
If a renewal payment fails, your access may be suspended until payment is resolved. You can update your payment details through the link in your Paddle receipt email.
